How Domestic!
February 22, 2009 5:40 pm UncategorizedI know, we haven’t blogged in a while but we’re going to be changing that. I have some cute videos to share and some pictures. Today though, I have to share my new skill!
Our MOMS Club is helping a local charity called the Rainbow Room. They provide supplies to CPS workers to pass along to children in need. It’s a great organization and I’m so excited that we’re going to be helping out. One of the items they mentioned they needed were diaper bags. They sent along a pattern to make them. It looked easy enough and I own a sewing machine so, I gave it a whirl.
My first one isn’t perfect, but it’s not half bad either.
I plan to make a few more before our donation collection party. I would like to send some thanks out to my mother who taught me to sew (20+ years ago) and Jean (Scott’s mother) who showed me how to thread my sewing machine and made sure I practiced until I got it right.
